Cyber threats can no longer be taken lightly. From data leaks and ransomware attacks to operational disruptions, companies in Indonesia are now increasingly aware that digital protection requires more than just firewalls and antivirus software.
In fact, based on the latest research from Kaspersky, around 58 percent of companies in Indonesia consider Security Operations Centers (SOCs) to be a key requirement in their cybersecurity strategy, rather than just an additional technology option.
The Kaspersky study also reveals an interesting global trend. All companies worldwide that do not currently have a Security Operations Center (SOC) say they plan to build one in the near future.
This survey involved companies in 16 countries, and the results show that:
50% of companies intend to build SOCs to strengthen their cybersecurity posture
45% are motivated by increasingly sophisticated and dangerous cyber threats
Meanwhile, in Indonesia itself, more than half of respondents (58%) believe that the existence of SOC can significantly improve corporate cybersecurity.
In addition to primary protection against cyber threats, the research also revealed several other driving factors:
41% of organizations cite budget optimization, the need for faster detection and response, and the increase in software and endpoints as the main reasons.
40% of respondents want better protection for confidential information.
39% of organizations aim to meet regulatory requirements.
And 33% of companies see SOC as a way to gain a competitive advantage.
These figures confirm that SOC is now seen not only as a technical function, but also as an important part of business strategy.
Simply put, SOC is a digital security “control center.” Within it, a team of experts works 24/7 to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats in real time.
With attack patterns constantly evolving and becoming increasingly difficult to predict, SOCs enable companies to act more quickly, before threats turn into major incidents that damage business operations and reputation.
Unfortunately, not all companies have the resources, team, or infrastructure to build a complete internal SOC. This is where the collaboration between Perkom and Cisometric comes in as a real solution.
This SOC solution is designed as a next-generation Security Operations Center that combines advanced technology and professional expertise to provide comprehensive protection for businesses.
The main features offered include:
|
24/7 monitoring with rapid detection (<5 minutes) SOC works tirelessly to monitor networks, applications, and data, with guaranteed rapid response to critical incidents so that the impact can be minimized from the outset. |
AI & Machine Learning for More Accurate Detection AI technology helps filter through millions of security data points, prioritizing real threats and reducing false positives so teams can focus on risks that truly matter. |
Threat Intelligence & Proactive Threat Hunting Rather than waiting for attacks to occur, this SOC actively conducts threat hunting to identify potential threats early on. |
|
SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) The incident response process is automated to be faster and more efficient, without removing human control over critical decisions. |
Structured Compliance & Reporting Supporting compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and providing reports that are ready for use in audits and regulatory compliance. |
Flexible and Scalable Solutions can be tailored to various business scales, from medium-sized companies to enterprises, according to their needs and risk profiles. |
Amidst an increasingly aggressive cyber threat landscape, SOC is no longer just a monitoring tool, but the main engine of a company's cyber defense. For organizations that do not yet have a complete internal team, the SOC solution from Perkom x Cisometric bridges the gap between high-level security needs and resource limitations.
SOC is no longer an optional extra, but an essential foundation for keeping businesses resilient in the digital age. With ready-to-use SOC solutions, companies can gain enterprise-grade cybersecurity protection without having to build everything from scratch themselves.
